A. We have been associated with the silver coin business since 1987.

Q. Where are your offices located?

A. Virginia. For security reasons, we do not reveal the exact location of our offices.

Q. How are the number of coins you ship determined?

A. On a daily basis, we determine the number of coins by the spot price of silver the previous day. We always put as many coins in each shipment as possible, and still make a fair profit for the services we provide. Shipment amounts are posted daily on our website.

Q. How is my monthly payment and ship date determined?

A. The date of your initial purchase becomes your Monthly Anniversary Date. Shipments paid for by credit card go out within 24 hours of your Anniversary Date. Shipments paid by check go out five days after your Monthly Anniversary Date.

Q. Why do you allow the individual inspection of coins for the first shipment only?

A. We want all of our customers to be satisfied with the quality of coins we ship, even though we are dealing in "circulated" coins. That's why we permit new customers to open the polybag and individually inspect each coin to ascertain its condition. We encourage the use of the "red book" to determine valuations. After that initial shipment, we feel that a cursory inspection through the sealed, clear polybag is sufficient and eliminates the possibly of receiving coins back for a refund that we did not ship. Remember, you can return any shipment within 15 days of receipt for ANY or NO reason, less shipping and handling. That's our guarantee!

Q. Am I committed to purchase for a set number of months?

A. No. However, the program will work for you ONLY if you make it a permanent part of your monthly savings plan. Many sign up and forget about it. Others will purchase for a set number of months or until they have accumulated a set number of coins. It's YOUR program, and you can opt out anytime you wish by notifying us in writing, or by email, at least one week before your monthly Monthly Anniversary Date.

Q. Can I purchase a "red book" through SmartSilver?

A. At present, we do not offer any products other than coins. We are looking into the possibility of providing these for our customers. In the meantime, you can purchase a copy from Amazon.com or any other book outlet.
